Tori Spelling's husband, Dean McDermott has entered rehab. The 47-year-old father of five tells People in an exclusive statement:
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
Dean is said to be receiving intense treatment, but is allowed to leave the facility to visit his children.
Over the holidays, it was reported that McDermott had cheated on his wife with Emily Goodhand, while in Canada promoting his show, "Chopped Canada."
Update: McDermott's ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, 51, tells People, "I wish Dean only the best in his struggle to overcome the demons he has been wrestling with for many years, so he can become the father and the man I know he wants to be."
Mary Jo and Dean are parents to a 15-year old son, Jack. The couple divorced in 2006 after news surfaced of Dean's affair with Tori Spelling.
