The Millionaire Matchmaker "Mr. Superficial and the Nutjob Magnet" Reacp (1/9/14)

January 10, 2014

Patti's clients this week are Robby Mione & Dane Dunn.

Robby Mione, 46, is an Optician to the Stars with a net worth of $10 million. He recently sold his company so he has a lot of extra time on his hands. In his free time, he lounges by the pool and drinks. He needs Patti’s help because he is not meeting the quality of women that he deserves. He wants a 21 to 30-year-old tall blonde “Barbie doll” type with an “a** like a 10-year old boy.” (Patti thinks that’s creepy) He would also prefer that she have a job.

Patti thinks he is very shallow. She believes he uses jokes as a defense mechanism to mask his insecurities. She wants to get to know the real him so she asks him to describe his hobbies. He says he likes lounging by the pool and dinking. Patti thinks he is putting on a façade. She is convinced if he finds himself and lays off the comedy bulls****, he could have a real shot at love.

Dane Dunn, 37, is the owner of 3 Cross Fit gyms with a net worth of over a $1 million. He is also a divorced father of 2. His ex-wife cheated on him four years ago. He is looking for the girl next door with a wild side. He would prefer that she is athletic and have a job. He needs Patti’s help because he keeps picking the wrong girls (“nut jobs”) to date.

Patti’ believes he likes drama that is why he dates “nut jobs” She concludes, he just skims over the surface and does not get to know the women he dates. She thinks that he needs a woman that has her stuff together instead of someone that is going to create drama for him. She advises Dane to get to know the women for real at the mixer.

The Recruiting Session goes well and Patti finds several potential matches for Dane and Robby.

At the Mixer, Patti has a surprise for Robby…a remote that admits electroshocks. She attaches the receiver to his pants and zaps him every time he is being superficial with the women.

For his mini-dates Robby selects Emily and Sherri.

For his mini-dates Dane selects Emily and Courtney

Both Robby and Dane select Emily for their mini dates. She decides to go out with Dane.

Master Date: Dane picks Emily. Dane meets Emily at the helicopter port. He has planned a helicopter ride to Laguna Beach. Once there, they head to the Rooftop Inn for dinner. Dane takes Patti’s advice to get to know Emily on a deeper level. They have great conversation and they end the date on a great note. They agree to see each other again.

Master Date: Robby picks Sherry, but Sherry declines the offer. (The two met before and Sherry’s feelings are hurt that Robbie does not remember her) Patti sets Robby up with Lyndsie instead.

Robby picks Lyndsie up in an old Bentley convertible. He thought it would be fun to pick her up in an English car because she is from England. They drive to a high spot overlooking the city where they enjoy a glass of wine before heading to dinner at Beso. Robby has rented out the entire restaurant. Dinner goes extremely well and Lyndsie and Robby agree to meet for a second date.

Patti calls Emily to ask what she thought of Dane. Emily says she is excited to get to know Dane better. Dane, on the other hand, tells Patti he has tried to set up dates with Emily on multiple occasions and she keeps making up excuses.

Patti calls Emily back and asks her why she blew Dane off. Emily says she had to work. Patti is livid and calls Emily immature before hanging up on her. She assures Dane that she will find him someone else.

Patti calls Lyndsie to ask her what she thought of Robby. Lyndsie thinks Robby is genuine and a nice guy. Patti asks Robby about the date and he says Lyndsie is a great girl. He also admits that they "fooled around." Patti insists he enter into a monogamous relationship with her.

Update: Dane and Emily have not spoken to each other. Dane is back at his gym and is successfully avoiding the nut jobs.

Update: Robby has left his superficial self-behind. He sent pictures from his last visit with Lyndsie in Arizona.
