The Millionaire Matchmaker "Mr. President Meets Beverly Hillbilly" Recap (2/6/14)

 

It's Valentine’s Day, the “biggest holiday of the year” for matchmakers and to mark the occasion, Patti's assistants have decorated her office with pink and red flowers, streamers and balloons. Patti is excited. She gets to play cupid for this week's millionaires Matthew Brooks, 30, and Adam Winters, 24.

Matthew Brooks, “the self-proclaimed Obama look alike,” is an Internet Entrepreneur with a net worth of 3 to 5 million dollars. He is looking for a passionate woman with a great smile, who can light up a room. He thinks he is ready for marriage if he finds the right girl.

Matt needs Patti's help because he constantly jumps from relationship to relationship. He likes commitment and “feels lost without it.” Patti thinks he is a serial monogamous. She believes that his relationships end because he does not get to know the women before he dates them. He is not looking under the “hood of the car.”


For the mixer, she advises Matt to focus on a girl and get to know her so he can determine if she is right for him. She tells him to come up with four questions to ask the women at the mixer so he can get to know them better. Patti thinks he needs a woman that knows what she wants and communicates it.

 

 

Adam Winters is the CEO of Green Tech Transport with a net worth of $1.5 million. He was born and raised in Tennessee, but has been living in Beverly Hills since he was 20. He is looking for a good ‘ol country girl, who can bake cornbread and ride dirt bikes with him. He wants a wife.

 

Patti nicknames him “the Beverly Hillbilly.” She wants to know if he expects a Beverly Hills hottie to ride off into the sunset with him to Tennessee. Adam says he does. Patti thinks that is an unrealistic expectation to have, but Adam thinks since he makes the money, he should make the rules in the relationship. Well, Patti is not in the business of handing out trophy wives and tells him that he is living in a fantasy land if he thinks that's going to happen. She is the only one that makes the rules in her club.


However; she has hope that Adam is truly ready for commitment since he was once engaged. Patti thinks if she can help him bring his gentleman manners to the mixer and leave Mr. “I Want a Girl to Cook for Me” behind, she might be able to find him find the perfect L.A. country girl.

 

 

Recruiting Session:

For Matt: Patti and her assistants are looking for cute confident intelligent girls that he can communicate with.

 

For Adam: they are looking for a girl with a little bit of L.A. meets the south.

The recruiting session goes well and Patti is impressed with her assistants this week.

 

 

Mixer:

Patti decides to throw her own Red Ball instead of a traditional mixer. Not only does she provide the women with red dresses to wear courtesy of RenttheRunway, she also invites men from her database to the Ball so all of the women have a date to dance with.

 

 

For his Mini Dances

Adam selects: Kate and Laura

 

Adam chooses Kate for his master date. Adam meets Kate at the WildLife Learning Center for their date. They are going on a private tour of the center to see the animals and learn about their mating habits. During the tour, they have great conversation and Adam even asks Kate if she would live in the country. She says she would. Adam thinks Kate is a simple girl and he likes that.

 

For dinner, they head to Piccolo Restaurant. Adam has rented out the entire restaurant just for the two of them. The date is progressing well and the two share a kiss. They toast to a second date and Adam tells Kate he wants to take her to TN.

 

When Patti calls Kate to find out how her date went with Adam, Kate tells her she really enjoyed the date. Kate is happy that she met Adam.

 

Adam seems to really like Kate as well. In fact, he is going to meet Kate for another date as soon as he leaves Patti’s office.

 

Update: Beverly Hillbilly Adam may have found his Country Gal.  He and Kate have been out twice since Patti set them up.

 

 

For his Mini Dances

Matt selects: Emily and Tiffany

 

Matt chooses Emily for his master date. Matt meets Emily at the Sweet Candy Store for their date. They are going to learn how to make chocolate. The date starts off well with Emily and Matt feeding each other chocolate and even sharing a kiss. For dinner, Matt surprises Emily with a romantic dinner at a private restaurant that he had decorated with red roses, a chocolate fountain, and champagne. There is even a butler and a band to serenade them. Emily feels like the luckiest girl in the world and Matt thinks Emily is special. The date is perfect.

 

When Patti calls Emily about her date with Matt, Emily tells her that she and Matt have gone out twice since their first date. Patti is ecstatic.

Matt thanks Patti for performing her magic and setting him up with Emily. He feels like he has grown up a lot.

 

Update: Matt and Emily couldn’t have been a better love match. They sent Patti pictures from their recent trip to Costa Rica.
