David Cassidy, best known for his role as Keith on the 1970's tv sitcom "The Partridge Family," was arrested in Los Angeles on January 10, 2014 for DUI. Cassidy's blood alcohol level was .19, twice the legal limit. This is the actor's third DUI arrest within the past 3 years.

He was arrested in Florida in 2010 and again in New York in 2012.

According to the California Department of Motor Vehicles, any person who is convicted of a third DUI offense within 10 years of his/her two previous DUI offenses faces:

1) imprisonment in a county jail for not less than 120 days, but not more than 1 year
2) a fine of up to $1,000 and
3) revocation of his/her privileges to operate a motor vehicle for 3 years

In addition, the individual shall be designated as a habitual traffic offender for a period of three years, subsequent to the conviction.

This means that if David Cassidy is convicted of this third DUI offense, he faces a jail sentence of up to one year and a fine of up to $1,000. His driving privileges will also be suspended for a period of three years.

Currently, Cassidy is in rehab. He voluntarily entered a program after his arrest in January.
