The Millionaire Matchmaker "The Running Man and Great Expectations" Recap (12/26/13)

December 27, 2013

Patti receives an unexpected visit from Omar, a past client. Omar is now a happily married man and a father of one. He would like for Patti to meet his friend, Joe, a multi-millionaire who is also interested in finding true love.

Joe Bayen, 37, is the CEO of ICS Mobile. His net worth is $40 million. He is ready to settle down now and have children. He wants someone who is fit and not as organized as he is. However, he has only had three serious relationships in his adult life. He attributes this to his lack of free time. Work has consumed his life for the past 10 years.

Patti believes he is single because he does not stay in one place long enough to settle down. She nicknames him the “Running Man” because he is constantly working and can't put down roots. Joe assures Patti, he is ready to put love first. He is tired of focusing on himself. He wants something meaningful.

Patti suggests that he put the same amount of effort he puts into his business life into his personal/dating life. She also gives him a new rule: he must stay in one place at least a month to get to know his date. Joe agrees.

The other millionaire this week is Frank Cerino, 42, a personal injury attorney. His net worth is approximately $2.5 to 3 million. He is looking for someone with dark hair and a dark complexion. His last serious relationship was over 10 years ago. Patti thinks that his impossibly high expectations are the reason he is still single. He expects a perfect 10 and is quick to dismiss a woman, who does not fall into this category. Patti thinks he is too old and not that good looking for his expectations to be realistic. She gives him the nickname “Shallow Hal.”

The recruiting session goes well. Patti tells her assistants that they did a good job, but they can do better.

At the bikini mixer, Patti learns that Frank is a no show. She is livid. She decides that the show must go on and introduces Joe to the bikini-clad women. Joe is excited to get know 20 “hot chicks.”

For his master date, Joe selects Natalie.
He invites her to Marina Beach to play volleyball. He even brings Rachel, a pro volleyball player to teach Natalie how to play.

The date continues with a picnic on the beach. Later in the evening, they go to a French restaurant for dinner. Natalie is impressed and enjoying the attention that she is receiving from Joe. The date goes well and they decide to see each other again.

Patti meets with former client Teague Egan. She wants to set him up with a girl she found during Joe’s recruiting session. Even though she thinks he is too quick to dismiss women, she likes him and decides to give him another chance. She wants to teach him how to properly treat a woman so she suggests a chaperoned date. She and her bf David will accompany Teague and his date to cooking lessons. Patti does not think dating is Teague’s problem...she thinks he is the problem. She encourages him to wait 3 months before having sex with his date.

During the date, Patti reminds Teague to ask his date questions. Teague and his date seem to connect and Teague suggests that they meet again later than night.

Patti calls Teague’s date to ask her about Teague. She think Teague is really nice and wants to see him again. Teague plans on taking her out for her birthday.

Patti calls Joe’s date, Natalie.  Natalie expresses her desire to see Joe again. Joe says that they had great chemistry and they are indeed going to meet again.

Update: Joe and Natalie are still in touch. But the romance is on hold as Natalie is in Michigan finishing law school.

Update: Teague learned so much from his practice date, he has begun dating someone new. He won’t say if he made it past the “No sex for three months” mark.

Update: Patti has not heard back from Frank, her runaway millionaire. He is back in Florida and is still very single.
