Kendrick Perkins Arrested for Allegedly Punching A Woman in The Face

October 10, 2013

According to KHOU.com, Kendrick Perkins was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault today for allegedly punching a woman outside of a nightclub in Houston, TX in July. Court documents state that Perkins and his brother in law, Quincy Alpough, were outside of a nightclub when they were involved in an incident with a female by the name of Mikeeta Cotton.

Cotton states that she was involved in a minor car accident with Alpough. She says when she exited her vehicle to speak to Alpough, she was attacked by his female cousin. Cotton states that Alpogh then proceeded to push her at which time her brother, Ja'Keenan exited the vehicle. Ja'Keenan states that is when he was punched in the head by Kendrick Perkins. Cotton says Perkins also punched her in the face with a closed fist causing her to fall on the ground.

Perkins was released today after posting $1,000 bond.

Update: Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a statement."We were made aware of the allegations." It is something we take seriously and are gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time."

SMH! I hope this is not true. Perkins has been a good addition to the OKC Thunder since he was traded from the Boston Celtics in 2011.
