The Millionaire Matchmaker "Make Time For Love and Betting On Change" Recap (3/27/14)

On Thursday's Episode of "The Millionaire Matchmaker," Patti helps a magician and a sports bettor find love.

This week's millionaires are Gerry McCambridge, a 51-year-old Vegas headliner and Dave Oancea, a 36-year-old Professional Sports Bettor.

First up is Dave “Vegas Dave” Oancea. He resides in Las Vegas and has a net worth of $2.5 million. When he is not working 8 to ll hr days, he is at the club "popping bottles." The longest relationship he has ever had lasted 2 weeks and he believes its because he only dates cocktail waitresses. He is looking for a pretty girl with a nice personality, who is a non-smoker and has no kids. Translation: "a hot chick that is good in bed."

Patti tells Dave that his party boy persona is not going to fly in the club. Dave admits he is not all bad, he comes from a good family. He even wants to get married and have a child in the next two or three years.

Patti is not buying it and thinks Dave dates cocktail waitress' because he couldn't get a quality girl even if she were to fall in his lap naked.

For the mixer, Patti suggests Dave shave and dress up. She tells him that his outfit makes him look like he fell out of someone's a** and if he doesn't change it she is not going to throw him a mixer.

 

Next is Gerry McCambridge. He headlines a show called "The Mentalist" at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, and his net worth is $1.2 million. Gerry has been married twice and is the father of 6 kids.

 

 

He is looking for a woman, who is 35-55 years old, loves kids, and has a sense of humor. Gerry needs Patti's help because he does not have time to date. Patti tells Gerry that he needs to make time for love. She suggests that he take his date to Vegas so she can see what his life is like. 

 

 

Recruiting Session:

For Gerry-Patti is looking for a blonde all American beauty that can blend really nicely with his family.

 

For Dave-Patti is looking for an Asian Brooke Burke look alike.

 

 

Mixer: This week's mixer is at Patti's office. Each woman will wear a LBD (little black dress) and have their hair pulled back in a ponytail. 

 

Patti wants Dave and Gerry to get under the "hood of the car" and really get to know these women.

 

Dave has a hard time speaking to any of the women. It seems he can't even hold a conversation with one.

 

Shocker: Dave decides to leave the mixer and exit the building. Patti finds him standing outside. When confronted, Dave tells Patti that he is does not like any of the women at the mixer. Patti tells him he is rude and disrespectful. He tells Patti that he wants nothing to do with her. Patti yells that he can't get a girl to save his life and Dave yells that he thought she was going to pick hot girls for the mixer.

 

After more yelling back and forth, Patti heads back inside leaving Dave standing on the sidewalk.

 

 

Back at the Mixer: Gerry selects Carrie and Jodie for his mini dates.

Gerry chooses Carrie for his master date.

 

Vegas Bound: Gerry takes Carrie to Green Valley Ranch Spa for a day of pampering. They get foot massages and eat strawberries and drink champagne.

 

For dinner, Gerry rented a private suite for just the two of them. Afterwards, Gerry does a cute magic trick that reveals he thinks Carrie is beautiful.

 

When Patti calls Carrie to find out how her date went with Gerry, Carrie tells her she did not feel chemistry with Gerry, although she thinks he is a really nice person.

 

Gerry tells Patti that there is friend chemistry, but he does not want to go out on a second date with Carrie. Patti tells Gerry that he should have gone for the kiss.

 

 

Update: Gerry and Carrie have not spoken since their date. The Mentalist continues to look for his “Mental Match” in Las Vegas.

 

Update: Vegas Dave has returned to Sin City, and his life of sports gambling. Nobody is betting on Dave having a lasting relationship soon.
