Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Apollo Nida, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud in an Atlanta courtroom on Tuesday. Sentencing is scheduled for July 8, 2014 at 2pm.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, "Nida took full responsibility for his actions." Admitting that "it was a dumb situation I put myself in."

Nida went on to explain his reasons for committing bank, wire, and mail fraud:
He said she [Phaedra] was making far more money than him and he felt pressure to keep up. (He cited a $600,000 contract for her but didn’t say how long that was supposed to last.) Without easy legitimate ways to make quick money, he opted for this illegal scheme instead. But he claimed to her [Phaedra] he was running a legitimate debt recovery firm and kept her firmly in the dark.

Apollo faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million dollars. He is also required to pay restitution for the $2.3 million, he reportedly defrauded from several individuals/businesses.

In January, Apollo was officially charged with bank fraud and identity theft after a complaint was filed by the U.S. District Attorney's Office in Atlanta.
