Ludacris and the mother of his infant daughter, Tamika Fuller, returned to court on March 18 to continue battling over custody of their 4 month-old daughter, Cai Bridges.

Since Fuller and Ludacris have yet to come to a custody agreement, the judge appointed a Guardian Ad-Liem [an attorney appointed by the court to represent the best interests of the child during a disputed custody or divorce case-they are used when parties strongly disagree about who should be primary caretaker for the child] to advocate for Cai's best interests.

According to RadarOnline,"the judge in the case appointed a Guardian Ad-Litem to represent the child, Cai Bridges, "best interests" while the custody case continues. Ludacris must pay the Guardian's "initial retainer of $7,500 to be replenished to the full amount when depleted to $1,500."

In addition, "the Guardian ad Litem shall be billed at a rate of $325.00 per hour. The retainer shall be paid directly to the Guardian ad Litem within 14 days of the entry of this order.”

Ludacris is also responsible for Tamika's legal fees. Legal documents filed on March 20, 2014, show that Christopher Bridges [Ludacris] was ordered "to pay Respondent's [Tamika] counsel $35,000, in addition to any amounts previously awarded or paid as an award of temporary attorney’s fees and expenses of litigation."

The judge ordered Ludacris to pay Tamika an additional $2,000 in attorney fees in response to a motion he filed to have her held in contempt of court. The motion was denied.
