Update: Columbus Short appeared in court today seeking permission to move back into his home after his estranged wife, Tanee McCall, obtained a restraining order barring him from the residence---but the request was denied.

Instead, the judge gave Short 2 hours next Monday to collect any belongings he needs from the residence. He must be accompanied by his attorney.

Columbus Short's wife, Tuere "Tanee" Mccall-Short, was granted a restraining order against the actor after he allegedly threatened her life with a knife.

The restraining order requires the Scandal actor to move out of the house he and Tanee share.

According to TMZ, "Tanee got into it with his wife April 7, 2014 at their Chatsworth home, where she claims he came into her room intoxicated with a wine bottle in hand, acted like he was going to hit her with the bottle and then unloaded the wine on her."

"Tanee claims Columbus then ran to the kitchen for a knife, pinned her to the couch and began choking her.  She says he then demanded they play a game he called "Truth or Truth."  He allegedly said if she lied he would stab her in the leg."

She says Short then accused her of cheating with multiple men. When she denied the affairs, Columbus allegedly put a knife to her neck and threatened murder/suicide. As she tried to escape, she claims he slashed her tires.

On Tuesday, Tanee filed for divorce again, this time citing irreconcilable differences. She is asking for sole custody of their 2 year-old daughter.

Just last month, Columbus pled not guilty to criminal domestic violence and child abuse after he allegedly abused his wife Tanee in front of their children in a separate incident.
