Tonight's episode of Chopped featured four Teen Chefs: Ashley Dudley, Jay Ureña, Jason Khaytin and Alexandria Brooks. Each teen chef competed for a chance to win a $65,000 grand prize and a spot in the Chopped Teen Grand Finale. These talented chefs ranged in age from 14 to 16 years old.
The chefs were allotted 30 minutes to prepare three meals: Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert.
In the Appetizer Round, the mystery basket included Cherry Soaked Pickles, Lamb Loin Chops, Kale Chips, and Ricotta Salata.
Ashley prepared Lamb Spring Rolls with Napa Cabbage & Carrot
Alexandria made Lemon & Thyme Seared Lamb with Kale Pickle Salad
Jay made Seared Lamb Chops with Kale & Ricotta Salata Hash
Jason made Grilled Lamb Chops with Butter Green Salad
Chopped: Chef Alexandria Brooks. Her lamb was overcooked.
The Entrée Round challenged the teen chefs with Mahi Mahi, Cookie Snack Chips, Green Beans, and French Fries.
Jay made Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi with French Fry Hash
Jason made Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi with Green Bean Potato Hash
Ashley made Seared Mahi Mahi with Cookie Crumble and Green Bean Hash
Chopped: Chef Ashley Dudley. The judges felt that her green bean hash missed the mark.
In the Dessert Round the chefs were required to make a sweet treat with Gourmet Frozen Yogurt Sundae, White Balsamic Vinegar, Puffed Rice Cereal Bars, and Dulce De Leche.

Jason made Panko-Crusted Dulce De Leche Cake with Macerated Berries
Chopped: Chef Jay Ureña. The judges did not like his green bean and cookie sauce in the Entrée Round and in the Dessert Round, they thought his whipped cream was too salty.
Chopped Champion: Chef Jason Khaytin. He wins a spot in the Chopped Teen Grand Finale and an chance to compete for $65K.
